Fatherhood Reflections XLVII - DSA?

Haha I'm kidding.

I'm not THAT kiasu.

DSA is Direct Schools Admission, and usually associated with a sport that helps a child get through to a good secondary school without the need to fulfill the high academic requirements.

Today I played an hour of table-tennis with the boy.

I'm not too bad at table-tennis myself, considering I have a brother who was a teenage star player and a father who was a badminton winner.

I really hope he enjoyed it as much as I did coaching him. Basically he just needs to work on his hand-eye coordination much like I had the same problems with when I was his age. We practiced serving the ball straight, and hitting against the wall. It is really helpful that we have the table-tennis facilities in our condo, so it is very conducive to continue this training for him.

Who knows it might really catch on to turn into something bigger for him?

Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2018 Registration

Call it forward planning, but tickets were half priced!

I guess this is something I can aim for now that I'm registered!

Morning Jog

The mornings are really beautiful in our new abode.

Really hoping that the en bloc does not got through.

This is the view from a casual morning jog just across the road at ECP.

East Coast Prawn Mee 2018

Still as crowded.

Still at popular.

Still as delicious.

Just don't sit nearest the road.

Green Fingers

Recently bought a garden set.

Look at it!

Super power sense of achievement!

JPM Run 2018

Had a good runout today.

Even if it was in the pouring rain at the end.

Ankles feeling more uncomfortable than ever.

Not sure how I will manage the full marathon come year end.

Manchester United 0 West Bromwich Albion 1

This is what crappy looks like.

We really just didn't turn up.

A home fixture versus the bottom team of the league that's all but relegated and we still can lose.

Absolutely pathetic.

We really have to cut out all this hot and cold one game over the next game performances.

Feeling really pissed off now.

Manchester City 2 Manchester United 3

Oh my.

This is epic.

Another classic comeback that will go into United folklore.

2-0 down at halftime.

2-3 win at fulltime.

My FB feed was seriously the personification of the roller-coaster ride that I was experiencing while watching the match on my couch at 1am in the early morning.

Was tempted to switch everything off at halftime, glad that I bore witness to one of our greatest comebacks in history.

First half, everyone as shit. Everyone.

Second half was a totally different story.
- Pogba scored two goals in two minutes
- Smalling scored the winner
- Sanchez was involved in all 3 goals, registering 2 assists
- Herrera was such a menace, always fantastic to have during big games
- DDG was in beast mode, one wonder save in the final minutes

Trying To Exercise

I guess it is safe to say that with my newest appointment, my exercise time has suffered tremendously.

I just haven't the time to exercise anymore.

At least that's the excuse I keep giving myself.

Today I went for a 7km jog. Took me almost an hour.

I need to exercise more.

Somehow.

Beautiful Views

Leaving Our Rented Home For Good

Leaving the old rented apartment the way it was when we moved in.

My Saxo Atlas Award 2017 Finally Arrived

Trying To Catch Up

So I've been missing in action for quite a while.

Much has changed or developed since.

I've moved house! Not far though.

I'm in a new position! Same company though.

I'll try to spend more time blogging so that I can remember this part of my own life journey when I am old and senile and rely on this blog to jog my failing memory.

I'm loving the new home, although certain developments have curtailed the euphoria.

I'm busy as hell, yet enjoying the challenge and trying to see how long I can survive in this position.

The kids are also growing up too fast! The boy's in P2 already while the girl's in K2.

First Post In Awhile

I haven't had much chance to post anything because:

a) I have no PC at home
b) New home
c) Blogger app does not work anymore
d) iPad is spoilt but I refuse to change

All that has changed now that I have the newest Lenovo X1 Carbon!

Watch this space.
