SQ Premium Economy

You know for all my extensive travels, I have never once taken a Business Class nor First Class flight before.

I have always flown by Economy Class only. Albeit by Singapore Airlines mostly, which has one of the more premium Economy flights out there.

Pity.

So I was pleasantly surprised during my last trip to Shanghai that I was internally upgraded to Premium Economy on my Singapore Airlines flight.

What's to like?
1) More Leg Room - this was by far the biggest plus for such a tall guy like me
2) B&O Headphones - this was ok only, not that big a headphones guy even if I love watching inflight movies
3) Larger Screen - for an inflight movie buff like me, this was very nice
4) Welcome Champaigne - not my thing, I didn't even drink a single glass

It was a nice experience, nonetheless. And truth be told, it really made me want to ride more on that class or better in the future.

I kinda realize why some atas people call Economy, 'cattle class' :(

West Ham 3 Manchester United 1

It is time for Mourinho to go.

The line up was bad to begin with. No one had seen Martial play as a second striker at all before. Scott McTominay as central defender? totally weird.

Play was lacklustre. The team obviously did not want to try too hard. No pressing. Even after going down one goal 5mins into the game, there was hardly any urgency. And still allowed West Ham to come at us often.

Most damning is that Mourinho after the loss said that he was pandering to Martial and the fans that since everybody wanted him to play in such a role, he set out his tactics to put him there. I mean if the thought of him saying he is using what he himself thinks would be unsuccessful tactics to try and show that they won't work, is to deliberately try to lose the game.

The fear is that he will try to do this every game next?

Next game at home to Wolves are we going to play with 8 attackers with Pogba as striker and then say that Pogba and the fans said so?

Facebook Account Hacked

And so, on Friday evening, along with 50 million other Facebook subscribers, I found myself weirdly logged out and having to remember my password and log back in again.

Immediately I had suspicions that my account was hacked. I was hesitant to log back in on the same device.

When I got home I found that all my other devices had the same problem.

That was when all the news reports came out:

How Serious Is The Breach?

Then yesterday I received this message from Facebook inside my app.

Hopefully nothing too serious!

Please don't steal my data you hackers!

ECP Sunset

In the evening, the wifey and I went for an 8km jog. This is hopefully the beginning of my Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore training (totally not confident!).

The view of the sunset reminded me of the good things happening in my life right now. And I cannot say all is going well at the moment. There is a very large confluence of bad things swirling that could potentially escalate even further and it is making me worry a lot. I think I will get my white hairs soon.

This photo really helped ease a bit of all the rotten thoughts in my head, albeit for a fleeting moment.

To better days.

Bouldering

Bought an instructor package at Boulder World for the whole family.

It was quite fun actually.

I miss bouldering, even though I've never been very good at it.

At the end of it, muscles were aching, and a few abrasions.

All in was super fun and surprising to see how much fun the kids had too.

Good for the health too, because I as sweating after the first climb. Haha.

The boy is definitely a climber!

First Jog In Three Weeks

I have to admit, that I have been extremely nuah lately.

Hardly been up to any exercise at all.

So yesterday I hauled myself off my fat ass and went on my usual 8km route thinking I'd breeze through it.

Boy was I wrong.

I made it to the half way mark at the East Coast Sailing Club and then absolutely punctured.

From there it was a combination of brisk walking and sprints.

In the end I still managed to make it back with no serious injuries or strains.

Though the less than one hour usual became about an hour and a half.

Managed to catch this ultra nice view nonetheless.

Then this morning it was Macs for breakfast with the kids.

Ate it all back haha.

View From My Office

Took this from one of the meeting rooms in office.

Must appreciate.

Dunno how long more I have here.

Beach Road Prawn Mee @ East Coast Road 2018

This iconic eating house has been around since I was a young boy.

Prices have increased significantly ($5.80, $8.80, $11.80), but the standard is still there.

No wonder it is still so crowded every weekend.

Keppel Club

Took a day of leave to play a round of golf with Eugene, Victor and Mark.

What a beautiful day it was.

What a beautiful course it was.

The course is as notorious as it is iconic, because it is scenic yet very narrow, making it a very difficult course especially if you cannot hit straight shots.

Yet I had a very good game by my standards.

Shot a 106, no double pars, two pars (both par three holes).
