Brighton 2 Manchester United 3

This is our second match of the new 20/21 season.

We are leading Brighton 2-1.

95th minute, Brighton equalizes.

2-2.

I'm not watching the match and can only follow on the EPL app live score app. I keep updating to see if it is full time yet.

97th minute, the app shows FT.

Suddenly at the very next update, it shows 98th minute?!

WTH is going on?!

Turns out VAR awarded a handball penalty to us!

Bruno Fernandez scores.

We win 3-2.

Scenes.

First time I've seen penalty awarded after FT whistle is blown.

Who cares?! A win is a win and this is our first EPL win of the season, even if reports tell us that we played like crap!

GGMU!!!

Hokkien Mee At Bedok Food Corner

This is the one at the small hawker centre near the Bedok Army Camp, nearer to Tanah Merah.

This stall has been around for a very long time, owned by an old couple Mr and Mrs Wee.

I think they recently retired and passed the recipe on to a bunch of younger chefs.

I commend their efforts to preserve the original recipe.

Although there was a long queue when we were there, the kids and I were a little disappointed with the outcome. It wasn't as wet and didn't taste as nice as it used to be, the way Mr Wee did it.

Sad.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

This is the first time I've been there.

I must say it is quite impressive and very interesting to get back to nature.

The kids quite enjoyed themselves.

We saw quite a few Monitor lizards, lotsa birds, squirrels, and even a wild crocodile!

My Favourite Mutton Soup

This is my all-time favourite mutton soup stall.

It is at Bedok Central Food Centre.

It prides itself as having been around for more than 50 years, while I've patronized them since I was in secondary school. That's almost 30 years now.

Still as delicious after all these years.

Also there are less and less mutton soup stalls around these days, sadly.

Singaporean Humour

Found these in one of the stores called Naiise in Jewel, Changi Airport.

It is good to be able to laugh when you're Retail during this pandemic.

Tough To Survive During COVID19

This pandemic has really killed a lot of businesses in Singapore, many of them in the F&B sector.

Just near my office alone, several synonymous names have already folded.

Really not a good investment to have to pay rent while struggling with COVID19 restrictions to survive, AND with little footfall in the area all this while.

It is kinda sad.

Hopefully this situation improves.

The below used to be Crave, the delicious Nasi Lemak stall, and Cha Tra Mue, my favourite tea time haunt.

Sad.

Pizza Making

The kids and wifey decided to make pizzas at home!

Used the new oven as well.

They turned out delicious too!

Danish Prawns

We actually found this in IKEA Singapore!.

This was our favourite food takeaways back when we were in Denmark and Sweden.

The kids and I loved it and were hoping to find it here.

It took a while to finally find it.

Boy it tastes good!

Beetle

Found this little fella at the lift lobby on our floor.

How in the world did it get up here?

We brought it down quickly and laid it in the soil.

Birthday Oven

This year, I bought my wife a baking oven.

Boy she loves it.

Bought it online, it is a Korean-branded oven called Voto.
