A Weird Birthday

 I had big plans to go into JB to celebrate my birthday alone for the day.

Then last night after work, my wife’s leg which had three supposedly innocent mosquito bites, started to swell to a point where we felt it might be good she went to the hospital.

What felt like a small issue, ended with us at CGH till 2am waiting and waiting to be diagnosed. And when she finally was, she had to stay the night even. 

Anyway long story short I had to cancel all my birthday plans in order to hang around and be on standby for her. I ended up having some short quality alone time in the afternoon so I went to take a look at the three new MRT stations that completed the Circle Line.

In the evening after my wife had her homecare treatment, we went for a simple Korean BBQ dinner.

Upon reflection, it might have been for the best that today went about like it did, as it should.

And that was it.

My weird 47th birthday.

The Odyssey

 Just watched this three hour epic at Jewel with the teens.

I thought we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Especially the teens being familiar with Greek mythology and all.

What a movie, highly recommended!

This was a very rare time we went to the cinema again and boy was it worth it.

Next one with probably be either Spider-Man: Brand New Day or Avengers Doomsday 

Spain Vs Argentina

 So this year’s World Cup finals will be played this weekend.

It is Spain vs Argentina.

I’m not really keen on either team but my support goes to Spain.

An Amazing Sight

 You’ve got to see and hear it to believe it!

My daughter who’s two years younger, is giving my son O-levels English and Chinese oral tuition!

Not kidding.

I feel so proud of her.

And kudos to my boy for knowing he needs it too!

 It’s my birthday month!

Normally I’d declare that every day this month was a celebration.

Somehow this year I feel more mellow.

I don’t want to be drinking so much.

I don’t want that much attention.

I don’t want to hang out too late at night.

I don’t want birthday cakes and singing songs.

I just want to chill alone and play my online games or watch property or investing YouTube videos.

That’d make me sufficiently happy.
