Transformers Is Da Bomb

Crazy stuff. Loved it terribly. I think I'm so gonna watch it again.

If you haven't caught it, please do. Especially if you grew up religiously watching it at 6.30pm on TV during weekdays when you were in primary or secondary school.

Check up on the trailer right here.

More than meets the eye.

First Field Soccer Game of 2007

Helped make up the numbers in a friend's company's friendly game at Tanglin Secondary School.

Unfortunately the game lasted only one half when we were chased out of the premises due to the bad weather and an absent referee.

I think I almost collapsed or at least my lungs almost did even though I didn't think I ran very much. Haiz, stupid big field. It didn't help at all when the people we were up against were a bunch of army/uni kids who were much much fitter (think I was one of the youngest for my team) than our old team of geezers.

Nonetheless we were only trailing 0-1 before we stopped.

I ended the game with a grazed (ouch) knee and a bruised fist courtesy of someone's boot landing on my hand when I slipped over the slippery grass surface.

The only good part was that some of the geezers thought I was really good and sibeh piah (you're kidding right?), so they've invited me to join them in the next available friendly.

I gotta do this more often.

Dazed

As you can tell from this post (ok, so you probably can't), I'm still in a daze.

Maybe its fate.

Maybe its luck.

But maybe years and years from now when I look back at how I bought my first home, I hope I'll be telling myself, "We are indeed blessed."

Bus No 10

Once upon a time, 3 little schoolboys boarded the bus no 10 home from school. There was tall boy, tony leung, and ugly dog.

On the way up the upper deck of the double-decker bus, the boys walked past this hot chick who turned out to be tall boy's friend from way back when. The hot chick reminded him who she was and that she always saw him take the 196 bus in the mornings to work. Tall boy couldn't even remember her name, though hot chick remained quite hot.

From then on, tony leung and ugly dog kept pestering tall boy to introduce hot chick to them. Three little schoolboys, sitting at the back of the bus, laughing and giggling and egging each other to go talk to her.

Ugly dog, being the natural pimp that he was, really wanted very much to get to know hot chick. He thought of all kinds of ways to introduce himself. He thought of asking tall boy to intro him, then thought of asking tony leung to go with him, then thought of walking up to her all alone. How brave.

He almost successfully jio-ed tony leung to go with him, and they were doing the knuckle-to-knuckle jab over and over again to confirm both will support each other. In the end tony leung backed out. Ugly dog wouldn't give up, and as the pressure mounted from the other two boys, he almost found himself leaving his seat to find hot chick. He kept looking to the front, at her beautiful hair, then turning to the other two boys as if to inspire more support to attempt his daring deed.

But in the end, all he could do was watch forlornly from the upper storey window as hot chick alighted the bus prematurely. What a wasted opportunity, he said.

And so nothing actually happened.

On bus no 10.

The End.

HDBs @ Sengkang

I must say that with the local property market spiralling out of control, we've been relegated to searching even further away from the East.

Enter Sengkang, which IMHO is gonna be the next Bishan (c'mon, give it 5 more years). Anyway, we were there looking at flats near the NEL this whole friggin' hot afternoon. All of them were of walking distance to central, and in fact two of them actually caught my eye and I'm almost ready to move to Sengkang liaoz.

So much so that the girlfriend and I familiarized ourselves with Compass Point and even walked to the shprtlisted flats for sale just to see if they were really that much of a chore. And you know what? Things were pretty alright.

I must say Sengkang is almost like a nice little enclave hidden from the bustle and spiral of the rest of the crazy foreign/local property speculators/buyers trying to get into a piece of our little island. In fact, people seem to be MOVING OUT! For only one reason: U-P-G-R-A-D-I-N-G.

Darn, everyone must be getting rich but me.

So I've gotta say, that even though this little gem of a heartland is not my first choice to live in, its fought itself against numourous odds to lie nicely in second place.

Cable and an XBox 360 console will be on top of my shopping list when I move into my new home!

Watch this space.

The Cleveland Cavaliers just made the NBA Finals. That's just crazy.

I was in Cleveland when Lebron just got drafted by the Cavaliers and I sure didn't remember much buzz. But look at him now, King James. Just amazing.

Did anyone mention that I was at Dragonfly @ St James three nights last week? Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Some people are already thinking that I work there.

Time to give my liver a rest.
