Can’t Upload Pictures On Blogger

Suddenly I cannot seem to upload pictures on Blogger anymore.

Was quite bummed out since it meant I can’t upload my pictures and post that much.

Then I remembered that this blog has been around for 22 years!

And back then I never could upload pictures!

My posts were long essays.

They were descriptive and emotional and told imaginative and creative stories about what happened in my daily life back then and the feelings I was going through.

I need to bring that writing back.

Here’s to more creative days ahead.

Resolutions 2026

 Here we go again.

2025 has turned out to be a great year.

Will 2026 be a continuation of the same? Or even better?

In fact this year I came up with 7 resolutions to work towards!

Here are my resolutions for 2026!

  • Run further Total Distance than in 2025 (Strava: 446km)
  • Lose 3kg (current weight: 86kg)
  • Earn $100K from investments
  • Exercise at least two times a week an hour each
  • Join at least one Hyrox/10km/Half marathon/Full marathon event
  • Drink less alcohol (max six pints of beer a week)
  • Average 10K steps per day for entire year

Venezuela

 Wow.

The US has bombed Venezuela and captured its now deposed leader onto a ship bound for New York!

The US is now basically saying ‘we can do whatever we want, wherever we want, whenever we want.’

Still haven’t made up my mind what the longer term impact of what happened today will be, I do not think there will be a large scaled war.

This appears to be a #杀一儆百 exercise by the US.

Interesting to see how the rest of the world reacts to this.

What a way to start 2026!

Getting Super Lazy To Blog These Days

The current days of Artificial Intelligence.

We are using AI so much that I feel lazy to blog anymore these days.

Copilot is helping me out a lot at work.

I have a personal Premium subscription to ChatGPT.

Then I use ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Copilot as my personal AI engines.

Hence quite lazy to blog these days.

BRPS Speech Day 2022

Thank you Mr Foo, teachers, students, parents, alumni and administrators of Blangah Rise Learning Centre.

It is a great honour to step up here once again to address all of you, and congratulate all the well-deserved award winners.

The Covid years have been tough on all of us as we have had to make big adjustments to our lifestyles, adjust the way we work, the way we live, and even the way we play, to stay safe as the pandemic ravaged throughout the world. Yet, from an optimistic angle, the post-Covid world has brought us many silver linings. Our children are now much more adapt to new technologies brought about from home-based learning, and we as a nation, are more well prepared for any hardship that could come our way.

So in thinking of my speech today, I felt the need to use this precious time, to give each and everyone, some useful advice in preparing yourselves for the post-Covid future, wherever your life journeys take you.

  1. Adaptability - the world is moving and changing at a faster pace than ever before. New technologies are thriving in every field such that there will be new and significant advances everywhere we go. Adaptability expands your capacity to handle change, no matter how serious it might be. Being adaptable helps you stay prepared to handle these new changes in your life. Charles Darwin once said, “It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive, but those who can best manage change”
  2. Develop a Growth Mindset - Rather than a Fixed Mindset, where you think in a rigid structure, learn to think optimistically, constructively and positively. Instead of thinking “I’m afraid of failure”, think of “Failure is an opportunity for me to grow”. Instead of thinking “I like to stick with what I know”, think of “I like to try new things”. Instead of thinking “I will never improve”, think of “I will keep trying and not give up”. This is the Growth mindset and such a mindset will help you face challenges in a much more positive way, so that you can achieve greater things.
  3. Mental Wellness - looking after yourself not just physically but mentally as well, can help you face all challenges in life better. One of the best tips I found online, is actually available on HealthHub’s OKAY tips:
    1. Observe your emotions - identify them, find out what is causing you to feel that way
    2. Keep a healthy lifestyle - sufficient sleep, a balanced diet, exercise regularly
    3. Adopt coping skills - manage time better, think positive, clear your mind
    4. You can reach out - stay connected, be there for others, seek help if needed

Remember your first times logging into HBL or SLS? It was a struggle for you students, learning to learn in an online environment, while sitting at home. It was a bigger struggle for parents, learning to set things up so your children’s connections could work and they could attend their online class. While having to Work From Home. And if you students look around the hall today, it was a struggle for the hard working teachers too, who had to learn to manage a room full of students but an online room,  with not just schoolwork questions, but also IT Support questiosn from students and parents! Super kancheong period at that time I can assure all of you.

Look at all of us today, we’ve come through the pandemic so much stronger and logging online for a lesson is so easy now. Meeting your classmates for lessons is also so easy. We have succeeded in surviving this pandemic.

Success can come from anywhere, if you work hard enough. I am a strong believer that people create their own luck, because luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. Make your own luck!

With that I thank you for your valuable time and I once more congratulate all award winners!

Thank you very much!

Tottenham Hotspur 0 Manchester United 3

Just when we thought Ole would get the sack.

We come back from last week’s home loss to Liverpool with a defiantly big win against Spurs on their own patch.

Can’t get more dramatic, but Ole was desperate enough to change his formation.

The 3-5-2 suddenly unlocked the potential of a Ronaldo-Cavani front two, and boy was that sweet to watch.

The dynamic duo of McFred also shined in this formation.

AWB and Shaw looked more confident, particularly AWB looking far better defensively than when he was part of a back four.

And of course even the shit Maguire came good. Still edgy and scary at times with how he lingers on the ball.

But with Varane the rock in the middle, and Lindelof to support, Maguire’s sloppy and clumsy influence was negated.

DDG didn’t even have one save to make, such was how abysmal Spurs were,

And the today we read of Spurs coach Nuno getting sacked.

I’m not fully convinced about Ole yet, but this game definitely bought him some time. Yet the coming fixture list is still really tough and things might swing from good to ugly really, really quickly.

Next up, Atalanta, and then Man City at the weekend.

Hope we can win both games.

GGMU!!!

Mealworms

 Can you even see them?

Yucks.

So disgusting.

These are my daughter's pets.

She got them at science class one day.

They're still alive today.

Gross.

Crystals Craze

There appears to be this crystal buying craze during this pandemic.

Something about the prettiness and good omens that crystals can bring, that has gotten everyone (mainly women!) interested to buy them and place them in their homes.

The wifey is at it as well, watching Instagram live feeds and auctions and buying them online.

Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand.

HUAT AH!!!

New Corporate Phone

I tend to use my phones for very long.

So to have recently changed my corporate phone was quite a significant milestone.

I am now using the Samsung A5.

Which is quite outdated in itself. Haha.

Sweet.

One Last Post For January

It's the final day of January 2021!

Just wanted to clock one more post as I haven't been blogging for very long.

Work has just been so crazy busy over the last few weeks.

Also there has't been much to blog about since the turn of the year.

Nothing really happening other than the pandemic still raging throughout the world.

Life is still good at home though.

Can't complain at all.

Hopefully the rest of 2021 will continue to be good, if not even better!

HUAT AH!!!

Autumnal Equinox 2020

This was super special, probably happening very rarely in our lifetimes.

The Autumnal Equinox is when twice a year, the Sun is exactly above the Equator and the day and night are of equal length.

This occurred on Tuesday, 22nd September 2020.

What made it even more special was the Sun Halo, which occurred around noon time and we could see it in Singapore.

Here's some pictures I took from our balcony and some sent by friends.

So beautiful!!!
