2030 Projected Population Growth
Really doesn't add up.
Did anyone notice?
Come 2030 we are going to grow citizens by 500k while non-residents to grow by 1mil. From 3.3mil:1.5mil now, to 3.8mil:2.5mil in 2030.
Does anyone know where in the recently released white paper this discrepancy is being addressed?
We're gonna have foreign strikes/riots in our own land, maybe a few new foreigner dominated political parties, and more marginalization of citizens soon with a society of only 55% citizenry.
Maybe my mathematics isn't very good, but something just doesn't add up.

That Tampines Accident
I'm talking about this one that happened just a couple of days ago.
Absolutely heart-wrenching.
I can't imagine what the parents are going through right now.
No parent wants to bury their child, more so both children. Losing both the same time. Under such a gruesome instance (the elder boy's head was crushed beyond recognition..
As a parent of two kids as well, you can never stop worrying about what might happen to your kids. Nobody wants their worst fears realized and no parent wants to suffer the heartache of losing a child.
I was just at my local coffeeshop and two ladies were running through the front page of 联合晚报 which covered the accident. One of the aunties said the mother of the boys will surely go mad. Sadly, I think any parent would, under these tragic circumstances.
I also hope anyone circulating the gruesome pictures of the accident would stop immediately and give the family the peace and privacy they deserve.
My thoughts go out to the family of the two boys, and I pray that they somehow find strength to try and continue living their lives, hard as it may seem now. May the boys' souls rest in peace.
God bless.

Sleeping Early
Have chosen to sleep earlier over the Man United Vs Spurs match.
Have to wake up at 530am tomorrow.
Also have this bad feeling we will drop points. Seems to always happen when all our rivals win their games.
Hope that's not true tonight.
Towards #20!

M1 FFS Wake Up Your Stinking Idea!
Dear M1,
Your response and damage control efforts are inadequate to the extreme. Given that this downtime is unprecedented in your short history, many of your loyal customers like myself (since 1995) are seriously contemplating a vote of no confidence by switching to larger telco that would perhaps show more accountability under such unforeseen circumstances. Thankfully I am not alone feeling this way and happen to be not under contract with you for a fair bit of time now.
In the 3 days of downtime, not once did we receive any news to inform, update and assure users of the situation. Users like myself and peers have to resort to looking up your M1 FB page, of which updates were few and far between. Even after your mentions that the problem has been fixed today, many of us still experience instability or even no network issues. None of which has been addressed other than the push-away excuse of having to reboot our phones.
It is terribly disappointing to see your recovery capabilities, or sheer lack of, in times of such distress. In my humble view, this will simply drive your customers and potential clients to your competitors. I hope you give serious thought about how you will compensate your customers and I hope IDA will give you a much harder slap on the face for your poor efforts.
Sincerely,
A customer since 1995 who recently turned disgruntled

IPPT Congratulations
Waah! Now the army pats you on the back somemore!
Scored an Incentive ($100) with a 2.4km run of 11.45min. First time I dipped below 12min in 5yrs.
Let down by the usual pull-ups as always.

Resolutions 2013
This year, some tangible targets.
1. Trade Less
Make less than 5 trades a day. Less speculation, more investment. The best trades are usually the trades I never make.
2. Exercise More
Twice a week, of a minimum one hour workout. More exercise = healthier body.
3. Spend More Time With Friends
At least one outing once a month with friends from different clusters. Need to maintain my shrinking social circle.
4. Spend More Time With Family
Bring kids and family out once a week, see parents and in-laws once a week.
5. Save More Money
Save at least half my salary every month. Less spend on luxury, entertainment and personal items.
There you have it! Real tangible targets! Hopefully I can stick to them this year!

Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1
Another solid win. Abit edgy and nervous near the end, but still good to be 10pts clear at the top.
1. Let's start with DDG. Was safe up until Daniel Sturridge scored. Can't really fault him for that. Was more of the rest of his defence caught sleeping and ball watching. He couldn't have been expected to catch Gerrard's initial shot.
2. Suddenly Rio and Vidic are back! Still a very solid defensive pairing after all these years. Hopefully they can keep this up. Think both have only got a couple of years left at this level. Reading of the game is still superb.
3. Rafael was good as usual. Still alot of bite, but he was the chief culprit for Sturridge's goal because he didn't help cover at all. Still a good performance anyway with his tenacious running.
4. Evra was a monster. I think Vidic got the last touch to the 2nd goal, but Evra definitely should be credited for it. That would make it his 5th goal for us this season. Defensively maybe a little slower than few years ago but still the best we got.
5. In the middle we had Carrick and Cleverly. This is probably our best midfield pairing this season. The only exception is that Carrick started to tire near the end and Cleverly followed suit by turning into a headless chicken. It is the primary reason the team started to look really nervous at the end.
6. Kagawa was back! While I know he played the last couple of games already, today he really showed alot of good movement and stronger physique. Hopefully this will bring even better things to come.
7. We had Young starting in the far wing but he wasn't effective. Then Tony V came on and played abit erratically as well. He's strong as an ox but doesn't use his strength enough. Plus he seems to be quite muddle headed at times, not knowing when to commit to challenges.
8. Welbz started again. I really like the boy, but he's really got to start scoring man. Else's he's not going to survive in the team for long. Hernandez would be the ideal backup for sure.
9. RVP. What more can I say? Still the best in the business. Really glad we've got him man. This guy is a poacher's poacher. How many times has he saved our skin already? Should've had a hat-trick today.
10. 10pts clear at the top (City playing Arsenal now) with 16 games to go. Hopefully we continue our march to #20.

Star Sign Ahead IV
You need to convince your boss or sweetie to try something new but you need to go for his head instead of appealing to his emotions. That can be hard but it is the only way.

Star Sign Ahead III
Do not get too involved with stuff you do not believe in - you do not have time or energy to waste on other stuff. You are feeling good but it is important you are doing right.
Strength In Numbers
"I prefer to see Singapore as a small fish. It is, however, an extraordinary small fish. It has organized the small fish to band together for their mutual protection. It is a fast and agile swimmer and can out-swim many big fish. The world is, however, a dangerous place and small fish will always be vulnerable to the big predators of the ocean."

RVP The Saviour
Yet again, RVP rescues us.
This time he scored in the 91st minute of our FA Cup 3rd tie away to West Ham to equalize at 2-2 and bring the replay back to Old Trafford.
What a pass from Giggs, and what a goal from van Persie. Sheer class!
Let's win the FA Cup too!
