And so the electorate has spoken.
At least it was a very close fight between him and Tan Cheng Bock, with the latter losing by only 0.35% of votes.
Much closer than many have expected.
I'm sure even Tony himself didn't expect such a close fight.
Tan Jee Say took 25% and Tan Kin Lian took 5%, thus not getting back his deposit in the process.
This means hardcore opposition or anti-PAP voters still amount to only 30% of the electorate.
I think Tony has a tough job uniting the people.
