This is my all-time favourite lunch right now whenever I have to work in office.
Their stall is located at Telok Ayer interim market.
Basically a curry rice type of stall.
My favourite setup is the pork chop with cabbage and mushrooms. With lots of gravy.

Tokyo Olympics 2020
So actually this was recently held.
Yes.
In July 2021.
Singapore brought ZERO medals back.
There were some highlights though.
Yu Mengyu won the hearts of many Singaporeans by powering into the semi-finals of the women's singles. This is in spite of her 42nd world ranking. Came up short in the semis against the world's 1st and 3rd seeds. Still such an inspiration.
Our women's sailing team of Cecelia Low and Kimberly Lim came in 10th in the world in the 49er FX regatta. First time ever that an Asian country made the top 10 in the world. Also very impressive.
Joseph Schooling and Quah Zheng Wen disappointed though. Didn't even make it past their heats.
Well hopefully Paris 2024 will be a better outing for our Singaporean athletes.

Polestar
So recently we made a small investment into this Electric Vehicle (EV) company called Polestar.
According to Wikipedia:
Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand established in 1996 by Volvo Cars' partner Flash/Polestar Racing and acquired in 2015 by the former. It is owned by Volvo Cars and by extension its parent company Geely. Geely describes the brand as "independent" from 2017 onwards and "co-owned" by it and Volvo Cars.
Now we are awaiting for Polestar to IPO.
Hopefully it will fly high high and make me rich hahaha.
Then we can use the proceeds to buy ourselves a Polestar car!
Move aside Tesla, it is time for Polestar to shine!
And Polestar will be retailing in Singapore from October!
Kite Flying At ECP
We had bought a kite from Decathlon a few months back.
Haven't really gotten the opportunity to burst it out of the pack.
Finally did so recently with the kids.
It was such a windy day at the beach just across of our house.
So crowded and packed with the weekend Phase2HA crowd (since dining in is not allowed, people are picnicking at the beach and parks!)
We got the kite flying so high!
Later on we also saw otters in the pond eating the poor fish! :(
Finally we headed off to East Coast Lagoon to dabao dinner and picnicked by the beach in the late evening too.
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade!
Crystals Craze
There appears to be this crystal buying craze during this pandemic.
Something about the prettiness and good omens that crystals can bring, that has gotten everyone (mainly women!) interested to buy them and place them in their homes.
The wifey is at it as well, watching Instagram live feeds and auctions and buying them online.
Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand.

Back To Phase 2 HA
Goodness.
It's amazing how sad the CBD looks when businesses are encouraged to WFH.
They are still trying hard to lay things out (this was a day before stoppage of dining in).
Hopefully they can overcome this month of ghostliness.
One Lovely Pressie
My son made me this for my birthday.
Makes me so happy.
Love him to the moon and back.
My Birthday Proper
I say this because I had been guilty of celebrating my birthday oh so many times this year haha.
And why not right?
So the actual day was a little special and close, just with wifey and the kids.
More than enough to keep me full.
The wifey was especially nice this year (not sure why, but maybe I've been good?).
Even with the semi-lockdown et al, we managed to arrange a really nice lunch at an atas restaurant named Angie's Grill, chilled a long time after beers (lousy drinker that I was), picked the kids and then had another lovely dinner at Iza, at Siglap.
Once more, I felt my tummy so fuller but my heart even fuller.
I really am so blessed.
Grandpa Stories
Loving the sight of my dad telling stories to my kids.
So glad mum kept all the photo albums of our family trips from yesteryear.
They are just so valuable today.
My Younger Self
As I grow older, I find my younger self unrecognizable at times.
To my younger self, all I have to say is, go live the life I have lived.
There is hardly much to regret.
Enjoy every minute of every day and live life to the fullest as you have always done. Stay hungry, and stay foolish.
Durian Season III
I really cannot get enough of durians.
Have to really enjoy this year's bountiful harvest to the fullest.
Got myself ONE single random high quality Mao Shan Wang durian and it was enough to feed the whole family!

Cycling To Town
So my wife got a new bike from some Shopee sale for $300+.
This is a shadow of the $3K+ that Jinde spent on his Brompton bike haha.
We met up, together with Yipeng, and cycled from my place all the way to town.
20km but it was quite enjoyable.
Singapore CBD is a beautiful place to cycle around on a weekend morning.
I did notice that about an hour into the ride my butt starts to ached pretty bad.
Not really sure if I want to do this too often TBH.
My Father's Birthday
We celebrated by buying a sumptuous dinner from Jumbo.
Nothing better than chilli crabs to celebrate such a joyous occasion!
My dad is growing older but I'm so proud of him being able to maintain his youth and keeping himself so healthy.
Wishing him a long healthy, prosperous and happy life ahead!
My tummy was so full at the end of dinner but my heart was even fully.
Such good times need to be savoured and appreciated.
