Manchester United 0 Aston Villa 1
Wanted to take the chance to blog about this.
What a shit show.
For once I thinks it’s OGS fault, together with his management team.
The players were terrible as well and we couldn’t seem to string 3-4 passes together.
We played worse in the second half.
We didn’t look like we had a plan, we looked like we were just relying on Bruno and Ronaldo.
Aston Villa looked so comfortable at dominating us many times.
Then they scored in the 86th minute and it looked like it was all over.
Edinson Cavani then wins a handball penalty for us in the 92nd min.
Bruno steps up and skies it.
OMG.
In the end we lose and rue what could have been.
What made it really memorable, sadly, was that my whole family watched it together for the first time ever.
Yes.
This was the first time that my wife, my son, and my daughter, actually sat through a whole Manchester United match.
We even ordered in spicy Thai dinner to eat in front of the tv as a family.
It was such a significant and happy moment for me, such a huge Man United fan, to have them supporting the club I love so dear.
Boy did we go through the emotions.
Yet the team went to put on such a shit show at home.
Sigh.
So painful.
Haiz.
We’ve lost 3 of our last 4 games now.
Ole better go do something.

Wifey's Birthday
So it was the wifey's birthday and we decided to spend the day together. Both of us took leave.
Has initially wanted to go to Tanjong Beach Club and I'd booked it already, but the moment we woke up, it was pouring like nobody's business. So we can to cancel due to the rain.
We had to impromptu instead.
Started with breakfast at Funan the IT Mall's Tiong Bahru Bakery.
Then we played the VR game, which was super fun.
After that spoiled the wifey with Japanese Omakase lunch at Mizuya.
After lunch it was Escape Room action at Trapped at *Scape.
Then we picked the kids.
Off to Hai Di Lao at 313 Somerset for dinner.
It was a good whole day.
Wifey was obviously happy considering she dedicated a rare blog post to how we spent the day!
Brownie points earned!
Snapped Croc
My white Crocs finally died on me.
Immediately went to Parkway Parade to buy a new pair.
Since they didn't have it in white, I chose dark blue this time.
Tanah Merah Coastal Road Ride
My first Tanah Merah Coastal Road (TMCR) ride.
Was really proud that I managed it all alone, at a personal best speed of 20km/h.
Managed to get there and back in one piece, in slightly over 2 hours.
It was a good and scenic ride.
Tough and punishing, but well worth the achievement.
Big kudos to my cheap foldie for surviving the whole journey with no problems.
Final Durian Night 2021
The final night of durians for the year.
The season was ending.
Sad.
As usual, Parkway Durian at Marine Parade Central never disappoints.

Failed Bike Ride
I wanted to set a distance record by riding all the way to Coney Island and back.
Yet somewhere along the route towards IKEA Tampines, this happened to my seat.
Geez, and I didn't have tools to fix the problem!
Ended up having shift my butt, stand, or other uncomfortable ways while cycling, in order to get home in one piece.
Still managed to clock a good distance.
McDonald's New Burger
Enter the Hainanese Chicken Burger.
Crafted in collaboration with Ben Yeo (who?!).
It tasted a lot better than it looked tbh.
Particularly with that dark sweet sauce, which has become quite the commodity.
Back To Jewel
We had like a 4 week no-dine-in period and finally this was the end.
We could all come out again!
So our first meal out together was at Hot Tomato at Jewel!
The fountain view never gets old!

National Day Flypast
This year's NDP was held on the 21st of August instead of the actual 9th of August due to the high Covid case count.
We got to see the usual flypast from our home.
The highlight of this year has got to be this year's NDP song, The Road Ahead!
