Honjin And Ann Siang Hill

Though we agreed that our wedding anniversary should be celebrated with our ROM date instead of our customary wedding date, we still went out for a nice dinner at Honjin last night for a little celebration of sorts.

One thing good about eating at Honjin on a weekend is that its not very crowded. Also their all-you-can-eat menu has become a permanant 1-for-1 @ $52++ as long as you paid with a DBS/POSBcard. So it wasn't very expensive.

After a sumptuous dinner, we strolled to the Amoy area and walked up Ann Siang Hill and down to Club Street. The whole place looks surprisingly vibrant but I'm suspecting that some of the gay pubs in Singapore have shifted there :P. Otherwise, its still always been that atas Ang Mo hangout that its always been.

There is a really really nice and quirky book store called Books Actually along Club Street. I remember the first time I was there I saw Fiona Xie (before she disappeared). It sells really quirky books (mainly literature) and old-school stuff like old cameras, stationary and typewriters. In fact, they're retailing the latest in-thing for photography enthusiasts, the old-school Holga camera! Retailing for $138 if anyone's interested. Also a good place for some aircon along that warm and humid stretch.

Yup, was a nice little outing for me and the wifey last night.
