What a result for us!
Sure it doesn’t make much of a difference as this is the World Cup qualifiers and we are pretty much out already having lost 5-0 to Korea and 3-1 to Thailand.
But no one really gave ourselves a chance.
Heck I went to watch them only because the tickets were free!
Then we trailed by 0-2 at halftime to two Wu Lei goals and we gave up already.
Who’d have thought substitute Faris Ramli had other ideas with his shot squirming in to spare our blushes. I thought one goal back was already quite good.
Then our up and coming youngster Jacob Mahler slamming home the equalizer in the 81st minute really sent the home fans into pandemonium and shut the China fans up.
What an exhilarating game and so worth it to say I was there.
It was so humiliating to the China team that their captain publicly quit the national team! Haha!
We play China away next Tuesday and who knows maybe we’ll get thrashed by this draw with China is already one for the history books.
