Really happy to be able to play Magic The Gathering with my kids.
Another proud dad moment here.
The little tidbits in my life.
Watched Mamma Mia the musical at MBS.
The kids loved it.
It was their first musical since The Lion King maybe five or six years ago?
Glad they could sing along to most of ABBA’s songs!
Participated in this year’s Bloomberg Mile Relay with my colleagues.
I actually clocked a PB of 8.07min for one mile!
As a team we came in 25th out of all the mixed teams!
We had our most extravagant macro event yet and how epic it was!
Booked out the whole Marquee club (only the second financial institution to do so), turned the Ferris wheel on and wow what a night it was!
Here’re some awesome pictures.
These days we love going to Joo Chiat on Saturdays.
The place is really so vibrant now.
Our favourite food is the duck rice at Dunman Food Centre.
Tucked in the basement are two really good duck rice stalls, one selling duck rice and tau kwa pau while the other sells duck rice with kway chap.
Both stall are equally delicious I must say!
One trip to HK and the zip didn’t survive.
Sad.
Now got to buy the luggage cover before this gets any worse.
Bumped into him during the Singapore leg of the Singapore v Guam game for the World Cup qualifiers.
He’s none other than Alexander Duric, I think Singapore’s all-time leading scorer.
Anyway Singapore also won 2-1 that night.
Nice!
Was in HK recently for work.
Was there the whole week and great to mingle with colleagues.
HK is more vibrant now than when I was there back in April.
Always love HK.
Lately our standard exercise routine is a 7am long jog at ECP.
Mummy wakes everyone up early (earlier than weekdays!), then we walk to ECP and start jogging.
It is quite refreshing tbh and healthy lifestyle to boot.
I just try my best to clock at least 5km.
We took some time out to try this new bouldering place called Boulder Movement at Tai Sing.
It was the first time for my boy.
Wow he really enjoyed it so much!
Definitely will go try again someday!
I remember back in my secondary school days, after school we’d walk to Katong Shopping Centre and inside was one of our favourite comics stores ever.
It shaped so much of me growing up.
That store was called Comicsnaut.
Then recently I’m chilling at Roxy Square and I find in the basement some guy’s opened a comics store there and he’s paid tribute - definitely grew up in the same area - by sticking the old Comicsnaut and Comics Mart plastic bags in all its full glory.
How glorious.
My newly expanded role is getting so tough.
It’s just meetings and meetings upon more meetings all day.
Wonder how long I can tahan haiz.
Will try my best nonetheless.
There is some bad news on that front in the horizon and it is something I am NOT looking forward to at all :(
Must shore up my cash, build my wealth at an accelerated pace haha.
My humble interview on my personal finance thoughts.
Yay I get to wake up now since it’s the first day of October.
NGL yo, September has been rather topsy turvy and volatile all around, but IT HAS BEEN A GREAT MONTH all things considered.
Health, investments, overall networth, family, work. All good but I don’t want to go into details in case I jinx anything.
Hopefully we can keep up this momentum and end 2023 on a super high note!
