thats all that can describe last night's match. somehow knew it would come down to penalty kicks and knew thats the way arsenal wanted it. and jens lehman, gotta give it to him lah knn everything throw at him also he can keep out. knn everything just wasnt going our way one bit. i wonder what we can win next year. haiz. but at least rooney and ronaldo are bright sparks lah but fletcher silvestre and roy carroll can go suck a vacuum cleaner. scholesy must feel like crap. and rio was crying. what a crybaby. so sad that the better team lost. we had more chances. if only van the man took at least one of those chances. and the only one that he finally headed on target was right into lundjberg's head and ricochet off the crossbar. missed so many easy freebies. fox in the box my ass. ronaldo hit the post. rooney piledrivers got saved time and again. giggs was nonexistent. so many set pieces missed and wasted and blasted into row z. even roy keane also kenna crowded out 2m away from goal. xainz. even the espn commentator also said that nothing is fair in the fa cup.

Star Wars III Damn Power!

watched star wars revenge of hte sith last night with jinde. we got free tix to this exclusive screening by jp morgan from chun(thx dear!) and it was such a great experience! we got there early and there was a reception for all the people going for the screening so we just helped ourselves with the food. they also dished out goodie bags - with lightsabers! - but they didnt give any to us cuz they were for kids. sadz, after the movie we tried to go back to the goodie bag counter but alas they closed shop le. darn it! the movie's fantastic, being the star wars fan that i am, except if any of you intend to watch it in lido make sure you get seats in the centre, anywhere else(ours were at the extreme left) and you sure kenna neckache wan.

now i wanna watch a new hope again. haven't watched it in a long time.

from where i last left off regarding my fading job search, i got a desperate call from a local blue bank. gosh you know when a bank is desperate for you to join them when in their first interview,
(A) they are still interested in me after i don't bother to wear my tie and my sleeves are crumpled from having been folded up to arms the whole day,
(B) the sales manager and hr manager bicker in front of me about which training slot to put me in,
(C) they ask me how much i would have to pay if i left my current job immediately,
(D) they cut the red tape and go straight to confirming if i would like to join them.
the only problem was that they refused to give any details about remuneration though i kind of indicated that if i were to get anything less than what i was getting now they can say goodbye to me. dunno lah i kinda dun wanna join them cuz of all the stuff i've heard and how sucky they are in terms of thresholds and incentives, then again i really need the job to kickstart what i've always wanted to do and i know the orange bank doesn't want me while the red bank thinks i've given up on them.

anyway i verbally accepted their offer so far but nothing's confirmed till the contract's been signed. payday today and my pay cheques the fatest ever! wah....makes me think maybe the job pays better than i thought. but then no prospects also no use right?

wenli sent out an email annoucing her wedding with mhd noor a coupla days back. her wedding's gonna be on july 2nd! wah so soon siah. if you haven't been following my blog, i'm supposed to be the honourable mc for their wedding together with meijiao. wah lao i think i haven't seen her since like when we left primary school siah how to have mc chemistry? really honoured hat she asked me to do it though i really took quite a long time before i agreed to it. hmm maybe she might find another substitute then i won't need to do it for her haha. in any case i hope i won't get the onstage jitters and say something really wrong cuz i think its gonna be a void deck wedding so sekali i same crack some racist joke(econ mini-mat) then i'm the only one laughing on stage while everyone suddenly turn silent and i can hear the crickets chirping...wah die siah...

goldcoast is confirmed!!! wheeeee!! leaving on the 10th coming back on the 19th!!! wheee...we've got a car for the whole trip, we've got a lovely villa to stay in(ooh jaccuzzi), and we're flying emirates!(do the stewardesses really dress in veils nd you can only see their eyes?!?!) haha. and we're going to dreamworld! movieworld! seaworld! whooo!! choot choot!!! maybe dreamworld twice!!!! choot choot!!! hahaha so excited about the trip. i wanna go do bungeeing jumping and try some outrageous stunts man!!!!

after this trip gotta start working hard liaoz and save lotsa money to buy a cheap car...haiz...who ask the gf to live so far in the north...maybe the gahmen might buld another northeast line connecting sembawang to marine parade, then the two NEL will crisscross like an X! so cool!

Gold Coast Here I Come!

going to the gold coast! have booked the trip in mid june. gonna rent a car and drive around for a more than a week! whoo! yay to do all things australian! buy boomerang...buy nougats...buy that koala thingy that can kiap your finger...see kangeroos.. hug koala bears... watch them shear sheep...say 'gooood-dye mate!'...go for farmstay...hahahaha yah right!! as if i wanna do any of that man!(okie, for the gf maybe bring her see kangeroo and hug koala bears at most!)

yah right! i want to go bungee jumping! i want to try to surf in surfer's paradise! i want to watch an aussie rules rugby match in brisbane! i want to dive in the great barrier reef! i want to go to all the worlds in goldcoast! choot choot!

hehe...so excited...

played ball yesterday. wah lao i never realised i could play for so long. really tired out by it man. i sweat so much that my whole towel was soaking wet. eeew...

yesterday took cab back from sembawang. cost me $19 exactly. wah seh...die lah, really must work hard earn money to buy car liaoz. taxi fares are gonna kill me.

I'm A Ringtone King!

okie thats not true. but i've just spent most of my work day:

- listening to all the ringtones available on the M1 website. seriously there're so bloody many ringtones to choose from man. i thought i'd reward myself by shelling out an exhorbitant $3.15 for a silly ringtone but there's so many to choose from that i still can't decide!

- watched 2 episodes of ally mcbeal(i bought the vcds awhile back) ah the memories...glad i was sucha huge fan. billy & georgia, al green, ling, biscuit, fish, my love for portia de rossi's character nelle, dancing baby...and so much more! mcbeal reruns are so rewatchable!

- play online mahjong which is damn bloody addictive when you're stuck in office with nothing to do...

- have a feasting break of zi cha where we take turns to handle the pathetic call volume while another pigs out in the pantry over what we've ordered...

- read about the crusades(wah...)...

yay another few more minutes and work's ending liaoz!!! whoo!!!

Working On A Sunday

haiz so sad. to be working on a weekend. i've been working the 2-11 shift since friday and it sucks big time man.

really wished i could've followed chun to help clean up her new home in ulu sembawang. now that poor dear's cleaning it all alone. haiz.

think i'm not going for interview at the red and white bank tomorrow(its not swiss). spoke to daniel who's working htere and he says its a lousy position where they make you start off selling housing loans, wish, as people in our industry know, is bloody hard to sell if its from a foreign bank(since the rates at the local banks are way better). he was saying that even as a pfc who dealt with wealth products its also very tough there. so i summed up that if i were gonna move there i'd be even better off staying here and waiting for a move to a pfc role in a few months time. at least i know i'll be dealing with loans, investments and deposits all at the same time and immediately somemore. so got half a mind to cancel tomorrow's interview.

haiz. but the local banks(especially the orange bank) still haven't gotten back to me(maybe its the weekend) but still...haiz wish can chop chop know what's gonna happen then at least can set my mind to rest about getting a job there.

damn lazy day today at work. hardly any calls. at least got good company. haiz. lousy working weekend. lucky tom off.

Relaxed Evening At Work

today's not so much of a bad day afterall. seems like the worst month of April is really finally over. in fact today there were even breaks in between calls where there were no calls at all. wow. that hasn't happened since early feb man...

lately it appears that blogs are indeed vunerable. and i thought that joe's blog was immune to any legal action. now got people say scholar's blog say wrong things only means blog must remove all relevant posts and issue public apology siah. dun pray pray.
so fom now on i beter no name names. just leave clues enough le.

so anyway we'll move on to my job hunt. as per my previous blog, horror of horrors, the red bank summoned me for interview(turned out to be a lousy one) on monday, told me they would get back to me in 2-3weeks, then on tuesday informed me to go for a second and final interview on wednesday! zhun bo! too rush for me lah...so i told them i wasn't free and that woman said she would call me back again(till now still nothing). the dark blue local called me last friday told me to go for interview this thursday but also said i couldn't make it so said will call me to arrange another date(till now still nothing also). i called the orange bank up to tell them that i needed an answer quickly regarding my interview with them some time ago. the branch manager said he would call hr to get back to me by today(till now still still nothing also also). then i also got a call from that red white foreign bank ask me to go for interview next monday. hope that would turn out good cuz i kinda like that place(tho the orange bank is my no1 choice lah)

i'm still shocked that constantine has been voted out of AI4. haiz.

i'm still shocked that anthony fedorov(sounds more like a russian hockey player) is still in the competition. haiz.

i'm shocked that liverpool is in the champions league finals. good lord. beats chelsea getting there anyway haha. so now i'm rooting on kaka silence all that liverpudlian noise for an inclusion in next years champs league. wahahaha...

Happy May Day

happy labour day y'all.

not only did i get today off but also tomorrow as well. unfortunately the cost is that i have to work both saturday and sunday next weekend. boo hoo.

my home kitchen's been renovated. its quite nice and looks alot cleaner and neater. thats cuz mom spent a helluva long time tidying up and rearranging the whole corner after its been renovated. good job mom!

still have some stuff that i can't blog about yet, for fear that some people will read it and spread ill stuff about me(not that i'm a stranger to all that). but hopefully i'll get a favourable reply by this week or the next, else i still have other choices. notably i've got an interview with ocbc tomorrow so gotta prepare for that...and then uob called me up for an interview but i told them i couldn't make it this week so it might haveta be next week. better yet i got a call from smg, a pretty large sports events company and was passees my first ever interview over the phone where i was interviewed by an ang moh. asked me a few regular questions then said "ok, i'll be passing your interview answers and resume on to our hr department and we'll contact you BEFORE JUNE 6th." wah i was like erm, isn't that kinda long time away? i mean if you wanna reject me dun be so cek akh ask me to wait long long mah. so i just said erm, okie thanks alot.

hope will get a favourable reply from my first choice by this week.

in view of my borderline high cholesterol level, i have decided to:

a)eat less macdonalds - bloody place has been sending me to my death all this while and i hardly knew it, thne again macs every other day is abit excessive lah.

b)eat less sakae sushi - *sobz* i love this one and this is one place that my uob debit card is king with its 10% discount and free monthly delight.

c)eat < 3 egg yolks a week - i dunno how i'm gonna take note but yeah, erm, less than 3.

d)eat less fried stuff - wow. this one is lagi tougher siah. do i eat anything else?

e)eat more fruits and veggies - yesterdayi had my first taste of sweet potato leaves. i never knew sweet potatoes had leaves.

speaking of my affiliation with macdonald's, i think i'm their number one singaporean fan. in the mere 3months that i've been a macdonald's member(yes, its true), i've already chalked up >1000+ membership points. and if i show you the math, where every $1 you spend = 1 point, then you can roughly calculate how much i've spent in that kiddy place. and signing up on the membership gives you a miserly complementary 300points. everything else i earned with my hard-earned moolah. in fact i've earned so much points that i've already exchanged:
* 2 cheeseburgers
* 2 mcwings X 4
* 1 double cheeseburger
* 1 filet o'fish
thus far and currently am down to 300 points left in my membership card. wah seh. dun pray pray.

okie enough ranting. mommy bought me wanton noodles. yay.
