I love Korean BBQ these days.
The kids love it too!
There arn't many in our area, so we tend to go for the one opposite I12 Katong.
It is quite authentic in that it is owned by a Korean.
Great food!
The little tidbits in my life.

My alma mater.
We had our open house last month.
As current chairman of the School Advisory Committee, I went as a guest of honour as well.
It was nice to see the school progressing so well.
Towards greater heights.
It is so different now compared to when I was in this primary school. Even the premises have changed.
This is becoming a hot favourite activity of mine.
Walked across to the beach, pitch a tent, pop a beer and chill for half a day.
No frills, close proximity, and such a relaxing setting.
Play some sports and games as a family, fool around near the water, climb the breakwater at high tide.
The kids love it, the wifey loves it, I love it.
So the KTVs are now back in business.
And I love to sing.
This is the first time in three years that we get to sing in karaoke joints once more. The pandemic basically caused them to stay closed for a good three year period.
So I brought my whole team there and boy did we have a rollicking good time!
Here are some random pictures of the fun we had! You can almost hear the music coming out of these pictures.
Many people have asked where the 'Saxo dinosaur' is in our new Singapore office.
In many Saxo offices, each has its own dinosaur, to remind all Saxonians of how important change is.
Adapt or die.
Saxo Markets Singapore's dinosaut is a live-sized Centrosaurus, a genus of Ceratopsian dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous period of Canada (76.5 - 75.5 million years ago).
It can be found on the right side of our sprawling new reception area.
This time it was with the in-laws.
We had so much fun once again.
Did I mention that I love BBQs?
Check this beautiful shot out!
We had our SaxoWealthCare launch event in the office.
I was one of the speakers.
I remember how anxious I was, having to struggle with my gout recovery, and not feeling very prepared to host the event, nor talk through my presentation piece.
In the end it all came through pretty okay. Definitely not my best moment, but nothing so terrible that people really complained about (maybe they were just being nice!)
Here're some shots of me talking in front of a large audience.
After three years clean, my gout came back in a rather big way.
This time affecting the area above my big toe (previously was the right and under the big toe).
I had to go the hospital at 3am where I was sat on a wheelchair, because the pain was so unbearable I couldn't walk.
It got better right after I received painkillers.
Came and gone pretty quickly although I really need to manage it better so it doesn't attack me again.
So right now I'm on this natural gout pills, which is basically blackberry concentrate.
Seems to be working, so fingers crossed that I will not get it again.
Ever.
We subsequently had a round of golf with Mark as well.
At MBGC no less.
What a great public course we have.
Check out my new golf shoes!
What a blast from the past.
We had a gathering because Mark was going for a very major operation.
It was so nice to see the many faces of my ex-staff.
What a great catch up that was, as usual at the Beef Factory.
Our first BBQ post pandemic!
We really wanted to test out the BBQ facilities after so long.
So it was with my family.
Boy it was so fun, I always love BBQs.
Beers are always the main draw.
Plus I'm really quite a good fire starter.
Check out my new office view.
Isn't it amazing?
This is right by my table.
I basically get to watch the sun set every evening if I bother to stay that late in office.
These are my BRPS bros.
Best friends from primary school.
So we've known each other >35 years now.
Here's us in May, planning for our Vietnam trip in June.
Always over some alcohol, and/or golf.
To many more fantastic years together.
My favourite bingsu place is at O'Ma Spoon @ 313Somerset.
Its one of those foods that I get a craving for these days.
So we all have to drive down for other excuses just so we can end up eating their bingsu.
Normally we'd eat at the foodcourt upstairs because the wifey loves the beef noodles there.
I'd order a Mango + Cheesecake bingsu and an original Injeolmi bingsu.
Damn standard lah, this kinda happy food never fails.
