 For once we had fruits for Friday Bar.

Can’t get more healthy than that really.

Dunman Duck Rice

 Our favourite Saturday go-to lunch.

This is at Dunman Food Centre.

It’s been around since I was in secondary school.

Very highly recommended along with the Tau Kwa Pau + Duck Rice stall behind too!

Johor Bahru, Malaysia 2025

 Had a very short but interesting weekend trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

It was the wifey’s birthday and we wanted to try this as a celebration of sorts.

What we did was take the TEL to Woodlands, then take bus 950 to the causeway checkpoint. After checking through the Singapore customs, we took another bus to the Malaysian customs. And then straight to our hotel, which was just 5min away!

Malaysia is super cheap for us Singaporeans right now, so everything we ate, bought and did, were cheap!

What a great way to spend the weekend!

SG60 Cake

 This year is a special birthday year for Singapore!

It is SG60!

As usual we’d go over to my parents’ home to watch the parade.

This year my mum went one further by buying a birthday cake for Singapore!

Happy 60th birthday Singapore!

Durian Short Season

 Had a ball of durians for a short duration when there was a spurt of very good and quality supply.

It really just came a went just like that and now it’s over.

Sad.

Jooch Delights

 This is definitely my goto place while it’s still around.

Duck rice and Tau kwa pau from Dunman Food Centre, in the heart of Joo Chiat.

And of course you get to see the beautiful and iconic row of old colonial era houses.

Cookies From My Boy

 This is a dream.

My son bakes the best cookies now.

So delicious and so lucky he has an interest in baking and cooking!

Barolo

 Learnt on my last CPH trip that this brand is among the more expensive wines in the world.

Worth considering investing in.

Kombucha SCOBY

Straight Outta Maxwell

 With the new TEL, which I really love, we’ve been exploring many of the stations there.

One of them is Maxwell, which pops out straight to Maxwell Food Centre.

It’s in Chinatown and the views are great and the food is amazing.

Crazy Dim Sum

 Went for an interesting dim sum breakfast at Nam Kee at Plaza Singapura.

The smallest bao is the Char Siew bao.

The medium sized bao is the 大包.

The largest bao is the 叶子楣大包.

Super filling!

Wifey Sunday Lunches

 The wifey still finds the time to whip out Sunday lunches which are some of the best!

Ever though she’s got to work Saturdays now :(

Haha don’t bother about how it looks, it tastes great.

Also the boy is getting very involved with cooking too!

Yolé Machine

 It was so random that our office decided to bring in a Yolé vendor to dish out all you can eat yoghurt.

I literally ate till I lao sai after three cups.

Great employee welfare! Super good for staff motivation!
