And so for the second decade, we change to our third family car.
This time we have sadly let go of our Toyota Corolla 2016 model for a BYD Atto 3 2025 model.
Hope we can drive this EV for the next ten years!
The new EV driving experience has been solid so far!

It was fun but I really do not like to do stuff like this too often.

Had a very short but interesting weekend trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
It was the wifey’s birthday and we wanted to try this as a celebration of sorts.
What we did was take the TEL to Woodlands, then take bus 950 to the causeway checkpoint. After checking through the Singapore customs, we took another bus to the Malaysian customs. And then straight to our hotel, which was just 5min away!
Malaysia is super cheap for us Singaporeans right now, so everything we ate, bought and did, were cheap!
What a great way to spend the weekend!

After the DHS reunion, was the annual Saxo Summer Party!
Our parties have become less wild than before because we’re all a little older.
Also gone are the days we partied by the beaches at beach clubs.
This year was in a little shophouse in Little India where we gave out fantastic prizes and played really fun games.
To many more years of Saxo partying!
This was definitely quite a feat.
Our secondary school class gathering taken to a whole new level.
We invited our cohort of around 400 students and nearly half showed up! And even the teachers too!
I had such a good time engaging with so many of them. What a great catch up.
Our upper secondary class ended up having only 5 representatives while we had 10 from our lower secondary class.

Good to see many of them again after all these years!
I play basketball with the kids on most Sundays now.
Both teens are getting better and better.
Soon they will be beating me effortlessly. I used to beat them effortlessly but now we are starting to be on par. My body is degrading while theirs are growing stronger by the day.
We’d play a first round of primary/secondary school. Then 2v1 which I’m still winning. Then we go to the exercise area to do static exercises and see who can hang on the handle bar the longest.
End it off with chin chow from Marine Terrace hawker centre. Well deserved.
This year is a special birthday year for Singapore!
It is SG60!
As usual we’d go over to my parents’ home to watch the parade.
This year my mum went one further by buying a birthday cake for Singapore!
Happy 60th birthday Singapore!
Had a ball of durians for a short duration when there was a spurt of very good and quality supply.
It really just came a went just like that and now it’s over.
Sad.
