It is time for Mourinho to go.
The line up was bad to begin with. No one had seen Martial play as a second striker at all before. Scott McTominay as central defender? totally weird.
Play was lacklustre. The team obviously did not want to try too hard. No pressing. Even after going down one goal 5mins into the game, there was hardly any urgency. And still allowed West Ham to come at us often.
Most damning is that Mourinho after the loss said that he was pandering to Martial and the fans that since everybody wanted him to play in such a role, he set out his tactics to put him there. I mean if the thought of him saying he is using what he himself thinks would be unsuccessful tactics to try and show that they won't work, is to deliberately try to lose the game.
The fear is that he will try to do this every game next?
Next game at home to Wolves are we going to play with 8 attackers with Pogba as striker and then say that Pogba and the fans said so?
