Life Is Good

 Life is good.

Can’t complain.

Wifey is busy with her work but seems happier with me at home.

Son is growing really well and going through puberty and Sec one school life and making new friends and close relationships.

Daughter is also growing well and maturing fast in P5. Senior prefect really suits her.

Both my kids are communicating well, which is something I love.

Work is demotivating but still tolerable. No bonuses this year WTF.

Parents and siblings are doing ok.

My health could be better but still trying to exercise more and eat healthier.

Alcohol consumption is still a problem.

Home is still fantastic, by the sea. Bought a dryer and matching washing machine for Valentine’s day. Wifey loves it so much.

Finances could be better but I should not complain. Maybe gamble less.

Loans are close to none. Only left with housing loan.

Trading and investments continue to suck though. Can’t FIRE with such poor performances.

Polestar investment has more than halved, so sad, another hopeful gamble failed.

Friendship circle is still small, largely us BRPS trio, us DHS trio, then the Saxonian crew (past and present).

Car is left with two and a half years of COE. Thinking of upgrading to an EV, likely a Tesla or Polestar.

Siglap is still the best place to live in.

Singapore is still the best place to live in. The world is my oyster.

A lot of travel plans coming up for the year.

Hopefully the year gets better and better as the months go by.

Yet to play my first golf game of 2023.

Saturday futsal with old pals has shifted to Eunos

Manchester United got knocked out of the Europa League thanks to Harry Maguire. We really need to get rid of him this summer. Hopefully we can win the FA Cup and remain third in the EPL.

Kenna Covid Again

Got Covid the second time somewhere in the last week of March.

Had actually gotten it in the office when there was a mini outbreak.

The funny thing was that this time was so mild that it was a mere sore throat.

I probably wouldn’t have noticed or even tested had it not been a fellow colleague testing positive in office.

Best part was that I was negative within five days!

I had to isolate myself and wifey was nice enough to cook many of my meals. Yay.

Nottingham Forest 0 Manchester United 2

I had wanted to drop by one of my local pubs in Siglap to watch the midnight game.

Had just watched Arsenal draw 2-2 with West Ham, had ordered a beer to get me going for the night.

Then the waiter told me they have to close at 12 midnight, meaning half hour into the game.

WTF.

So in the end I decided not to bother. Went home, told my wife about the waste of time, took a bath, then went to sleep.

Thing is since Starhub won the EPL broadcast ticket for the next 3 years, I’ve cancelled my Singtel Mio Stadium so I don’t have EPL screening at home anymore. This makes it hard for me to support my team Manchester United.

Anyway last night I really wanted to go watch and support them. The team really needs our support now.

The long season is ravaging the team with injuries. We have won the League Cup already this season (God bless EtH), we are very much trying to lock up top four for UCL in the league, we are in the semifinals of the FA Cup, AND we’re in the quarterfinals of the Europa League still!

Is that not amazing?!

And injuries are really taking its toll, that we lost our potential player of the season in Lisandro Martinez for the rest of the season. We have Rashford, Varane, Shaw, and McTominay all out injured. Then Sabitzer picks up an injury at warm up last night.

Thankfully we have Erikson back. Harry Maguire is a disaster waiting to happen. Thankfully Antony and Dalot scored the goals and we controlled the game really well, so we won.

Let’s get at least one more trophy!!!

GGMU!!!

Travelling

A whole load of travelling incoming this year.

I cannot even begin to imagine how packed my travelling scheduled is becoming.

Having just been back from Hong Kong just a couple of weeks ago.

Next up is Melbourne, Australia in late May.

Followed by Shanghai, China in late June.

Likely a toss up between Hong Kong again, Copenhagen or Tokyo in August.

Have a boys trip to Bali in September.

Likely another toss up between Hong Kong again, Copenhagen or Tokyo in October. Of course one of the three which I didn’t go in August.

Ending it off with Tokyo and Hokkaido in Japan, in December.

So much travelling but relishing it!
