Padang Golf Sukajadi Batam
Had a great time yesterday playing golf with a few good friends.
You know we are getting on with age when the very concept of a stag party is a golf trip to Batam for good clean fun.
A lovely course, professional caddies and all arrangements properly sorted out by the organizer, yesterday was really a good day out on the greens.
Eventually I even beat everyone to card a score of 111. Not bad for my 2nd game after a year out.
My 1st game since surgery was the one in Danang where I carded a 110 the previous weekend at the Montgomerie Links Danang.
Time to get back into the game!

Finally Back On The Field
Since my ACL knee operation a year ago, I been looking forward to this with much anticipation.
Today i had my second game of weekend futsal and so far so good.
Hopefully I can continue like this free of injury for the rest of my life!
Its great to be back!

Strawberry Generation
Crisis.
Not enough manpower in office.
How?
Hire more people lor.
Welcome to Singapore's strawberry generation.
They say that wealth always lasts for 3 generations. And I am starting to believe it with my own eyes.
Our pioneer generation (our parents) built this country from third world to first. It obviously helped that we had good leaders.
My generation (Gen X) took to the rat race, and took Singapore to the next level, where everything also must be first.
The Millenials are the strawberry generation. Recipients of great wealth and care, where parents do anything to help their kids realise their dreams. No more study what is practical but more chase what you love and papa/mama scholarship will pave that way for you.
All so soft now.

Stupid Keyboard Warriors
Don't know what is wrong with alot of people these days. Maybe the whole social media thing is giving people a chance to showcase their own stupidity or ignorance to a wider audience and they jump at the chance to step into some 3secs of potential attention/fame via the only avenue available to them. Who cares about who I'm gonna hurt and what not, I'm free to say what I feel like saying that will be all. And as always the standard classic, start by blaming the gahmen, proceed to rationalize by blaming general policies yada yada. OMG WTF man ok rant over.

Some Thoughts
I'm back in sunny SG, and boy does it feel great to be back!
I've rejected the chance to relocate to Shanghai. It was a great opportunity, but all factors considered, I would still be better off staying put, by a country mile.
The main crux is that I've got kids. So that makes relocating a far more difficult consideration. From their basic hygiene needs, schooling needs, social needs, and adjustment needs, a beautiful city like Shanghai just can't cut it yet for preferred child upbringing. At least not to the Singaporean standard we have grown used to.
So I definitely have no regrets.
Onwards and upwards toward a better life!
