The Great Comeback

Played against Matador FC which was 3rd in the league while we were 2nd from the bottom.

Scored the first goal with a tonjo.

First half ended 1-4, us losing.

2nd half we were trailing 3-5, and then I came out to rest.

By the time I came back in the score was a demoralising 3-7.

Then the magic just came. Almost the first touch of the ball I danced around a few of their players and scored a nice solo. Then I scored again off a corner. Then i slotted a cross for Ming to tap home. 6-7.

Then Lasse harrassed and scored the last goal. 7-7!

Had a few nervy moments but Eugene was enforcing the goal really well.

Best draw game we've played so far.

Can't Sleep

Dunno why.

Maybe because I slept too much this afternoon. Was sick the whole day. So bad that I had to leave office around 1030. Xianz.

Will try to force myself to sleep in a moment.

If only I can pull myself away from FX trading though. Damn friggin' glued to the screen.

Chicken Tomato Spaghetti!

From the top:

Ingredients: Spaghetti, basil leaves, extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, chicken stock, tomatoes, tomato sauce, minced chicken meat.



Dicing tomatoes took me half an hour (don't even ask me about it, @$@!%$%&^).



Started off smelling like crap...and then once things got cookin' there was no turning back.



Presentation is key.



...and walla!



Even the wifey thinks its good!

Just wanted to say that that's all.

It's been one long and tough week at work (even though I've been to work only the last two days!). Hopefully things go back to normal soon. Sigh.

In an effort to save money under the guise that it'd be more romantic, I've decided to attempt to whip up a nasty v-day dinner! Hope it all goes well!

Homely Weekend

Chilling at home is always a good thing. Take stock of everything good around you and erase all bitter thoughts and unwarranted worries. Life is still good for us all, isn't it?



My fishtank is clogged with water grass and hydrillas! Its filled up the left side of the tank (where they get to bask in full sunlight glory) after growing so fast that the fishes have gotta chill out near to the filter (or risk getting cut by the sharp blades). Prawn population is having a field day considering that they have so much undergrowth to hide under. Fish population dwindling since anything that gets injured is now shrimp food.



Been a long time since I had Fei Fei's wanton noodles at Joo Chiat. Good stuff though the service is still as poor and the you tiao and fish cake is expensive as ever. And you still have to DIY get your own bowl of soup. Delicious nonetheless!
